Much of the ELU is successional tulip poplar, but upslope it grades to a rich oak-hickory similar to GARI.85. Upslope is a bedrock ledge, may be source for higher than average soil fertility.;Midslope cove bottom with several large fire-scarred buckeye dominating the canopy with tulip poplar. Well developed tall shrub layer with bladdernut, paw paw and spice bush over a lush herb layer dominated by tall herbs and ferns. Plot also includes a large chinquapin oak.
